This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to complete a Level 2 Accounts/Finance Apprenticeship. You will be an essential part of our team. Supporting the finance department, Credit Manager, Financial Controller and wider business by completing key financial tasks, including preparing credit insurance claims and invoicing.
Annual wage
£21,000 a year
Custom wage range from £21,000 - £22,000 annually. Salary review upon apprenticeship completion. Company-wide quarterly bonus scheme. Company Pension Scheme.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Day to day role responsibilities will include:
* Preparation and issuing customer statements and resolving any queries
* Support Credit Insurance claims preparation
* Manage the opening of new customer accounts and process credit application forms
* Internal resolution of billing queries
* Daily invoicing to customers
* Management of customer credit status by using external reporting tools
* Account reconciliations
* Purchase ledger invoice processing and credit card reconciliations

* Record transactional data.
* Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
* Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
* Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
* Record transactional data.

Your training plan
* The apprentice will be working towards the Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2 apprenticeship standard including the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
* Classroom attendance at Colchester Institute (Colchester Campus) every other week
