To work with local VCFSE groups and partners to develop community solutions to locally identified priorities that improve the lives of local people As a member of the Sector3 team, to develop Sector3’s VCFSE engagement and development strategy To provide reports and analysis of our impact to the management team and trustees as requiredTo work collaboratively with partners and other community development workers in Stockport to create effective relationships, share skills, resources and expertise, and share learning and insights. The main things you’ll be asked to do in this role: Partnerships & Engagement To build effective relationships with the VCFSE sector, undertake detailed mapping of the sector in Stockport to build the membership of Sector3To develop an engagement and partnerships strategy that supports the needs of our diverse VCFSE sector in Stockport, helping bridge the gap between the VCFSE and statutory servicesTo work with our diverse local VCFSE sector to develop sustainable community solutions to local identified priorities To facilitate collaborative working across the VCFSE, public & private sector, and communities in Stockport Identify and share relevant learning with VCFSE groups and partner agencies via training/workshops/briefing sessions/webinars in order to increase the capacity, skills and knowledge of the VCFSE sector and key stakeholdersProvide 1:1 and group support to VCFSE organisations in Stockport Facilitate the creation of effective peer networks in StockportTo support the development and to leverage in resources to support the VCFSE sector to develop their work and activity/service offerTo broker specialist support from Sector3’s capacity building offer to VCFSE groups e.g., organisational development, volunteering support and consultancy. Other duties and requirements as a member of the Sector3 team To work to Sector3 values and contribute to the charitable objects of Sector3.To work as a member of the Sector3 team, and to contribute to the development of policy and good practice within Sector3.To increase the membership of Sector3 and promote our charitable objects.To direct our beneficiaries and partners to additional areas of support from within Sector3 (e.g. development support, information, events and funding) and other sources.Where necessary, to undertake standalone projects that further the aims of Sector3 and its membership.To keep abreast of relevant developments and/or best practice in relation to Sector3’s work and the local operating environment that could assist the VCFSE sector. Through the network we offer each other peer-to-peer support, advice and learning to develop and grow our collective impact across Stockport. The network is made up of VCFSE’s who everyday of the year do amazing things, to feed the hungry, combat homelessness, raise money to fight cancer, care for our environment, tackle our mental health crises, promote animal welfare, and so much more.
