Purchasing Assistant
Kinetic Recruitment are looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant with immediate starts to work for a leading company based in Hawarden. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will help to maintain our supply inventory levels and negotiate deals with vendors. The Purchasing Assistant will ensure that purchasing policies and procedures are adhered to, and the creation and communication of Purchase Orders occurs accurately and on time. You will also be responsible for conducting regular price comparisons to ensure that the company is always getting the best price for each product that is purchased.
Main Duties
1. Maintain the company databases with data such as cost, vendor, stock count, MOQ, and other Purchase Order details.
2. Create and issue Purchase orders to vendors, following the appropriate company purchasing policies.
3. Monitor the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery; and communicate the status of orders with internal customers.
4. Source alternate suppliers where required and as part of our continuous improvement philosophy.
5. Provide the Supply Chain Manager and Buyer with monthly performance reports and statistics.
Skills & Experience
1. Working within a Purchasing environment.
2. Working with numbers and technical details.
3. Working proficiently with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
4. Working within a team co-operatively.
5. Communicating appropriately.
6. Supplier negotiation with regards to price and lead time.
7. Managing your own time, creating and administering a task priority list based on Company needs.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm
Hourly rate: Dependant on experience.
