Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Older Adults Mental Health Bromley Ward, based at St Georges Hospital in Stafford You will join a developing and innovative service that aims to provide the right care and treatment at the right time, to individuals within the Staffordshire area. You will become part of an established multi-disciplinary team that has a strong emphasis on delivering evidence based occupational therapy interventions to meet the needs of older adults with mental health needs and dementia. Main duties of the job Working in an inpatient Older Adult mental health and dementia setting with the flexibility of working across other wards and off ward in community, dependent on skill and service need. Delivering a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families both on the ward and in the community. Delivering occupational therapy interventions, in accordance with an agreed care plan, to an identified group of people experiencing mental health and dementia related difficulties under the guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist. Support and co lead the provision of Ward and community activities and interventions with Service users/patients.
