THE OPPORTUNITY
Logistics Stock Auditor
We are currently recruiting for 2 Stock Auditors to join our Logistics team here at Swift Group! The successful candidates will be responsible for the management and accountability of stock accuracy, stock storage locations and efficient control of obsolete products. You would also be responsible for ensuring a stocktaking matrix is maintained, and all documentation is retained in an organised manner.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain all material storage locations including First In First Out (FIFO) methodology.
2. Maintain stock accuracy, by conducting cyclic counts and stocktakes in accordance with the system stocktaking matrix, using the methodology - location to stock and stock to location, capturing all discrepancies.
3. Conduct ad hoc inventory investigations through stocktaking, when accounting anomalies are identified, to rectify stock holdings and implement practices to prevent re-occurrence.
4. Conduct accounting transactions to rectify discrepancies (surplus and deficiencies), reporting significant values to the manager for authorisation.
5. Identify, segregate and prepare material ready for disposal or onward sales, which have been sentenced and authorised through the obsolete committee. Ensuring that all Reorder Levels (ROL) are reduced to zero, to prevent automated Material Requirement Planning (MRP) replenishment.
6. Report surplus stocks to Material Controllers, to initiate use up, through the cancellation of orders.
7. Confirm the condition, quality and quantity of products returned to logistics; whilst confirming future use within production or Aftersales requirements.
8. Assist with delivery checks where anomaly trends have been identified.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Support the logistics department in ensuring continued production sustainability.
* Previous experience within the logistics business and general understanding of basic logistics principles is essential.
* Previous experience of logistic Information Technology (IT) systems for material accounting is essential.
* Individuals will be required to conduct duties including manual handling and operate whilst working at heights, i.e. using warehouse steps.
* Individuals need to be able to work in an environment where moving vehicles operate i.e. Forklift Trucks and delivery vehicles.
* Forklift Truck licence would be desirable.
* Employees are expected to use material handling equipment, i.e. movers and stackers.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations.
