MFT Wythenshawe Hospital are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. This is an ideal opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with extensive post-graduate experience who is looking to expand their clinical and non-clinical skills and knowledge.
The post will offer rotations through a number of our speciality areas including:
1. Complex Health
2. Cardiology/Respiratory medicine
3. Surgery
4. Plastics & Orthopaedics/Trauma
5. Stroke Rehabilitation
6. Cystic Fibrosis
You will receive support from a clinical lead and team lead and have the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior staff members and students. Responsibilities include:
1. Working clinically in specialist rotational areas.
2. Completing relevant assessments and facilitating safe and timely discharges.
3. Completing access visits and home visits depending on the clinical area.
4. Attending Best Interest and discharge planning meetings.
5. Completing equipment adaptation risk assessments and ordering required equipment for patient discharge.
6. Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team including B5, B4, and B3 team members through supervision, appraisal, peer support, and training opportunities.
7. Providing educational support for visiting students and apprentices.
8. Contributing to service development opportunities and participating in audits.
9. Supporting recruitment through shortlisting and interviewing.
