Responsibilities Our Generator Engineers are responsible for the onsite servicing, maintenance and repair of our fleet of generators and supporting the servicing of heavy plant machinery and equipment ready for hire. You will work to ensure the highest standards of maintenance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, contributing to the ongoing success of our Plant Operations Division. Main responsibilities include: > Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, providing solutions in a timely manner. > Conduct repairs, including the replacement of faulty parts, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard > Carry out regular preventative maintenance tasks in line with company standards to ensure the optimum performance of machinery and minimize downtime. > Offer expert advice on best practices for machine maintenance. > Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, conduct safety checks, and ensure safe working procedures are followed. > Escalate any concerns to the Workshop Manager and/or Plant Operations Manager. > Complete clear and accurate documentation for all tasks performed, ensuring a thorough record of work completed. > Maintain our high company standards in providing excellent customer service Are You the Right Person for This Role? To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience > A solid understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems specific to Generator Fleet > Proven experience in the plant industry or a similar field > Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults. > Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. > Customer-focused with a strong commitment to providing high-quality service. > Ability to work well in a team and independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills. > Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring high standards of safety and quality Qualifications > Ideally, you will hold a qualification such as (S)NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or an equivalent qualification > A CSCS Gold Card is desirable but not mandatory. > Competitive rate of pay and benefits package. > Tailored Learning Opportunities and Learning & Development Programme > A supportive and dynamic team environment. > Be part of a company that values safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
