Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of a small friendly team which provides procurement support to the entire pharmacy team. Demonstrable experience working in financial, procurement or a pharmacy role would be a distinct advantage for this role, and the applicant would need strong mathematical skills due to the financial aspects of the role. Applicants would also need to be able to support the goods in function, which will sometimes involve the receipt and storage of cumbersome loads.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Support the Lead Technician and Senior Technician - Pharmacy Procurement with facilitating price changes.
2. Process Pharmacy orders and assist with the receipt of stock.
3. Support the Procurement Manager with the development and progression of eCommerce.
4. Support with stock take activities relating to goods on Pallet store locations.
5. Support in the ordering, receipt and safe storage of all required medicines and clinical devices.

Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
1. Good mathematical background for invoicing purposes.
2. Sound proven understanding of finance processes.
3. Proficient in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Access.
Desirable
1. Demonstrable experience in a medical or health-related environment.
2. Previous demonstrable experience in a financial background.
3. Previous demonstrable experience of hospital Pharmacy computer systems.
4. Sound proven understanding of Good Distribution Practice and WDA(H) legislation.
Qualifications
Essential
1. GCSE's or equivalent in English and Mathematics of grade C or above.
2. NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Desirable
1. Equivalent to GCSE or above in IT related subject.
2. NVQ level 3 or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Aptitude & Abilities
Essential
1. Mathematical ability.
2. Good written communication.
3. Able to organise and prioritise own workload.
4. Ability to recognise own limitations.
5. Ability to reflect on own performance.
Desirable
1. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
