Job Description Reporting to the Site Director, you will have full responsibility & accountability for the day to day running and development of the Maintenance department. You will develop a culture of continuous improvement using KPI’s and live data systems to ensure measured success. You will ensure the effective running of the Maintenance Department, Maintenance workshop, Maintenance stores, Production Machinery, Ancillary Equipment and all on site services. You will be accountable for developing department performance, supporting change initiatives, product quality, data accuracy and ensuring standard operating procedures are met, current and in-line with industry best practice. Ensure all engineering activities are carried out safely by all staff (in-house or contractors) in accordance with defined procedures and in compliance with safety and environmental standards. Ensure maintenance staff carry out their duties efficiently Manage, support and coach maintenance team Ensure planned maintenance schedules are specific, suitable and adhered too. Ensure a computer based maintenance program is kept live and up to date. Ensure planned maintenance is carried out effectively and in a timely manner Ensure breakdowns are dealt with promptly and conclusively, ensuring a process is in place to prevent reoccurrences Maintain a System for Planned Maintenance on all Production Machines Negotiate Service agreements on Chillers/Compressors/Water Treatment plant etc. Accountable for ensuring to the department spend is controlled and within budget Diagnose faults and assist with problem solving when required Coordinate and support CI activities Ensure safe working practices comply with company health and safety rules Design and build equipment / controls related to Machine Enhancements Produce Drawings for Machine Enhancements and Projects Lead on New machine installations and support the integration of new machines Liaise with Suppliers, contractors and other managers for replacement parts Place Orders for Spares/replacement parts. Comply with all current policies and procedures, updating systems as required. Any other duties as requested by Line Managers/ other Managers that are appropriate for your job role.
