Due to service expansion and restructure, we are very pleased to be able to advertise two rotational Senior Children's Physiotherapist roles with our team at CWPT.
These roles comprise of annual rotations between the core Children's Physiotherapy Service (where you will provide neuro-developmental assessment and intervention to children and young people age 0-19 with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, developmental delay and other congenital disorders) and the Respiratory Children's Physiotherapy Service (where you will provide assessment and intervention to a caseload of children and young people with respiratory complications of whom many also have complex physical disabilities). There are opportunities to work in a variety of settings including clinics, special schools, mainstream schools, respite, hospitals, family homes and hospices.
We have an established supportive development program for new starters, along with regular clinical and management supervision, IST's and journal clubs. CWPT support external CPD opportunities relevant to your role.
Main duties of the job
Main responsibilities of the role:
* To provide assessment and treatment for a specialist caseload of children & young people with predominantly neuro-developmental or respiratory physiotherapy needs.
* To be responsible for managing a defined caseload of children and advising Clinical Specialists of any difficulties with this.
* To deliver training programmes including competency base training and assessment for a wide range of professionals, CWPT carers and parents.
* To participate in the in-service training rota.
* To contribute to reports, including reports for Education, Health & Care Plans.
* To maintain a high level of clinical knowledge and keep abreast of new developments via literature reviews, participation in clinical forums, clinical supervision and research projects, and membership of Clinical Excellence Networks (CENs).
* You will be required to work autonomously and alongside other Allied Health Professionals, Consultants, Community Paediatricians, Community Children's Nurses, education staff and social services to deliver a high standard of care for CYP in Coventry.

* Transferable skills as a qualified physiotherapist
* Clinical respiratory physiotherapy experience with transferable skills to a paediatric caseload
