This role is all about impact – finding ways to deliver more for our communities through fundraising, engagement and celebration. You’ll share our stories, find ways to shout about the difference we make and grow support for the work we do.
And you won't stop there; we know our people's needs are constantly changing. Your interpretation and analysis of internal and external data will ensure we remain delivering to the needs of our communities, reviewing our existing offers and delivering entirely new ones where they are needed.
You'll be an integral part of the business development team, helping us to deliver on our corporate vision to be there to support people when they need us, and achieve the ambitious targets set out in our growth strategy.
As a Community Impact Lead, these are some of the things you might be doing:
* Owning our Social Value reporting across the group, ensuring we capture, maximise and can talk about the impact we have made for our communities. You will take the lead in shaping our approach to social value across our organisation, ensuring we have the right systems and processes in place to capture and report efficiently.
* Managing and maximising income generated through our external supply chain. Working with operational teams, procurement colleagues and contract managers to leverage more income where possible, firmly establishing, measuring and sharing the wider social value impact delivered through our suppliers and supporters.
* Mobilising and identifying opportunities for our community, volunteers and suppliers to support us in the work we do and the services we offer.
* Owning our annual ESG reporting, delivering comprehensive and well-evidenced positioning reports that showcase our commitment and impact across these areas, working with senior managers and colleagues across the group to ensure we maximise all areas to report on.
* Challenging our Customer Satisfaction data, identifying areas that require further investigation and understanding, undertaking analysis and sharing findings across the group.
* Owning relationships with researchers and data partners, including our own for tenant satisfaction, wider sector-based researchers and those engaged through Campus for Future Living to ensure we are engaged with insightful and thought-leading insight pieces. Learning is shared both internally and externally, and our own approaches are challenged where improvements are possible.
Some of the experience/skills we need to consider you (don't worry if you don't tick every box!):
* An analytical mindset, with a strategic outlook. You need the ability to bring multiple data reports together to paint a fully informed and rounded picture.
* You love to ask “why”, channelling your inner five-year-old, and this is closely followed by “how” and “what next?” You’re here to ensure we understand what the numbers tell us and what that means for us.
* A relationship builder at heart. You need to be comfortable being out and about in the business, working with people at all levels to gather information. Skills in persuasiveness and being comfortable in challenging anyone are all essential in this role.
* Report writing, presenting numbers and analysis in different ways will be bread and butter to you. You’re just as comfortable verbally presenting reports to executive and senior leaders, and board committees.
* Excellent, clear communication skills across a variety of means, with a can-do, will-do attitude, and bags of enthusiasm to continue learning new things in new ways.
* A strong customer-focused approach both externally and internally, with a real passion for improving communities, helping more people and having an even bigger impact.
* Motivated, adaptable, determined and able to work on your own initiative to resolve problems and achieve results.
* Experience of audits and the standard of evidence required - and you'll be comfortable doing this at pace when it's needed.
Being part of the Acis team, you’ll get:
* Generous holiday entitlement – 25 days annual leave every year increasing by one to a max of 30, plus bank holidays.
* Pension contributions up to 10%
* The opportunity to undertake professional training, funded by us.
* One day's paid leave a year for volunteering work (in addition to your Annual leave entitlement).
* Staff benefits with Paycare – A health and benefits scheme giving you support and contributions towards various health benefits such as counselling, eye tests, vaccinations and much more.
* Benefits with Acis Perkz – a discount scheme giving you savings off hundreds of schemes including discounts on your coffee, weekly shop, days out and much more!
* Employee recognition scheme, where we celebrate and award our Stars within Acis, including gift vouchers.
* Long service awards for our loyal employees.
* Cycle to work scheme.
* Employee Assistance Programme to give you confidential advice and support, when you need it.
* Professional membership subscription to support your continuous professional development.
* Death in service benefit as part of our pension scheme.

The Acis Way
Who are Acis Group?
We began as a social landlord providing homes in West Lindsey. Now we provide over 7,000 affordable homes across the East Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber. Our homes include ones for affordable rent, Shared Ownership, people aged 55 and over and supported housing – but now, we do so much more. We take our roles in our customer’s lives seriously, putting them first in everything we do. And as part of that we’ve grown to provide wider services to truly support the communities in which we work.
We provide student accommodation. It’s something we’ve done for years in the background. But we’re stepping up our role and directly delivering the services to support over 1,100 higher education students with their accommodation needs in the thriving university cities of Nottingham and Sheffield through our Acis Students team.
Over 4,000 learners a year are supported in local communities stretching from Sheffield to Mablethorpe – with everything from entry-level qualifications, arts and wellbeing courses through to employability support to help people fulfil their potential. This is through Riverside Training, our employment and skills team, and CLIP, an education provider.
In our teams across our entire organisation, alongside our partners, we have more than 300 people working collaboratively to help raise and realise our customers’ aspirations. Together, we’re honest, positive and ambitious.
