We are recruiting a Group Accountant (Treasury and Capital) at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday - Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Ty Penallta / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Corporate Finance Accountancy Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £45,718 - £48,710 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
We are seeking to appoint a Group accountant to join our Central Accountancy team. The postholder will be responsible for the Authority's Treasury Management function and the provision of its Capital accounting services. As part of the Treasury Management function, you will also be responsible for the daily management of the Authority's loan debt and Investments.
The role will support managers in the development of the Authority's capital program and preparing the annual capital budget, you will also be responsible for drafting the Authority's annual Treasury Management strategy and Capital strategy.
For the role, we ask that you have:
* An Accountancy qualification.
* Knowledge of Council's Financial Regulations / Standing Orders.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both written and verbal.
* Experience of staff management.
