The Global Process Owner Source to Pay is a Transformation opportunity and has responsibility for creation and development of the global source to pay strategy across the enterprise. The role will be responsible for setting S2P strategy, development of blueprint design and execution of the strategy to ensure a robust and optimized end to end solution that drives efficiencies and creates value.
This is a pivotal role as RM embark on a transformation of its central functions and ERP landscape over the next 4 years and S2P being a critical element of this. This is a key enabler for the procurement function to reach its goal to become a digitally empowered strategic business partner. The role will form part of the procurement leadership team along with the Future ERP PLT and may delegate for the Chief Procurement Officer. The role will require regular engagement with the exec board, Steerco and business leaders as we transform our central functions and supporting systems.
Specifically, the role will need to map the as is state and working cross functionally to design the future state strategy, ERP system architecture and supporting operating model across procurement, accounts payable and business roles.
Outcomes expected include improved efficiency and productivity, increased automation and digitisation, improved cash management, improved supplier visibility, deliver savings, improve business agility, and ensure appropriate risk control through a seamless source to pay process. The role will be responsible for ongoing process performance and the procurement excellence team within RM responsible for system optimisation, risk, governance and S2P effectiveness.
Reporting into the Chief Procurement Officer - This is a hybrid working role with a requirement for travel across the network and to attend our Head Office in Farringdon, London.
Team – Minimum line management of 5 process leads plus functional leadership.
Key Accountabilities
1. Accountability and responsibility for the development the end-to-end Source to Pay vision, strategy, and the deployment of this
2. Leading development of design and blueprint for S2P
3. Development and implementation of optimized target operating model design across the functions and end to end process
4. Development and implementation of best-in-class business processes
5. Representing specific process requirements across all design and build activities as the business launches it’s ERP upgrade
6. Lead on functional design, specifications and testing of the solution
7. Design Authority for S2P and member of Future ERP PLT and Steerco
8. Definition of appropriate controls and delegation of authority across S2P process
9. Leadership of Procurement Excellence team driving compliance, risk mitigation, improved end to end S2P cycle, delivering efficiency and adding value
About You
• Highly skilled across ERP systems: S4Hana and Sap Ariba advantageous
• Acts as a strong leader and is respected by executives of stakeholder organisations.
• Ability to process highly complex facts or situations requiring analysis, interpretation, comparison of a range of options.
• Experience of setting challenging but achievable goals and supporting and developing others to meet them.
• Experience of managing multiple projects/project strands at once and working at pace to challenging deadlines
• Skilled in program & change management and can demonstrate application – digital or EPR deployment in particular.
• Proven ability to apply professional expertise to develop and implement innovative procurement solutions.
• Effective problem solver with demonstrable experience in formal and informal contractual and commercial issue resolution in areas of strategic or critical importance
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to lead in cross-functional teams and confidently operate at Director and senior levels with internal business and suppliers
• Evidence of developing effective teams, including virtual teams
• Experience in being accountable for a major area of activity with autonomy to act independently, interpret policy and strategy, and set goals and standards for others.
• Proficient use of Source to Pay solutions optimising procurement process and policy.
• Working Capital Improvement tools and techniques to further maximise value from third party spend.
Further Experience
• Track record of leading major procurement change programme in a complex environment
• Director level management experience, leading strategic and operational procurement teams
• Experience of complex change management
• Experience of leading and being accountable for development of business plans and strategies
• Experience of significant transformational change
• Experience of SAP Ariba / S4hana desirable
Qualifications
• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) Qualified.
• Degree level with relevant post graduate experience and/or qualifications.
