Vickers Neal Recruitment are delighted to be working with Elegant Clutter based at their site in Warwick, we currently have an exciting opportunity for Workshop Technician to assist with the installation of Artwork for their commercial clients. Elegant Clutter work with high end hotels and restaurants and provide a bespoke and outstanding service to clients both within the UK and overseas.
Role Purpose
Use a variety of established framing techniques in conjunction with a creatively led problem solving approach to achieve the business’s production goals by confidently and competently carrying out tasks in all areas of the department, maintaining consistent high standards in quality, efficiency, and collaboration

In order to fulfil the requirements of the role you will be responsible for:
* Carry out all production tasks required within the Framing department. Including cutting and pinning frames, mounting & laminating prints, cutting glass and board, assembling picture frames & similar, stretching canvas, framing 3D items, assembling bespoke mirrors, trimming & weeding printed/cut medias, operating the computerized mount cutter, and performing different crafts including paper & fabric.
* Product ordering – including stock management, raising purchase requests, ordering, and completing paperwork following order and on receipt of goods.
* Production tracking – supported by daily team planning sessions, calendar deadline reviews, searching out required information via the company Database, and flagging in a timely manner where projects go ‘off track’ to manage and prioritize workload.
* Collaborate with closely linked departments to manage risks and achieve deadlines. Specifically, Project Management, Procurement, Print and Logistics.
* Take ownership of projects to be produced by the 2D workshop when requested and see through to their successful completion. Keep track of production figures. Highlight where additional support or resource may be needed with enough time to solve.
* Ensure a high level of quality and final checking is being undertaken for all produced goods by the Framing department, translating this effectively through to the exit pallets. Quality checking is relevant to every stage of the project process, including assessing the detail within the specification, individual component inspection, and final product sign-off against agreed benchmarks.
Additional Requirements of the Role:
Collaborate with teams throughout the company when resource sharing is necessary to complete the business’s client commitments. Including driving company vans to transport goods and components between the two sites, attending installations, working on creative projects such as painting and origami.
