As a teacher at Downland School, you will:
1. Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
2. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
3. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Teaching Assistants and external professionals, to support students' learning and development.
4. Promote the personal, social, and emotional growth of each student.
5. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and whole-school initiatives.
We are looking for a teacher who:
1. Is passionate about working with children with additional needs and committed to their success.
2. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
3. Is creative, resilient, and adaptable, with a problem-solving mindset.
4. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has a solid understanding of the National Curriculum.
5. Ideally has experience working with SEND students.
