Gosfield School is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Officer to support our growing School. If you have experience in marketing, excellent communication skills, can work collaboratively and enjoy a fast-paced environment, then please apply for this role. You will develop links with prospective and current stakeholders to meet admission targets across the school.
This is a full-time role; however, hours may be negotiable for the right candidate.
JOB PURPOSE
This role has come about as a result of increased demand for places across the school and a desire to maximise the work of this department. The Marketing Officer supports the delivery of the School's overall brand development and direction, student recruitment activity, and marketing event planning.
The Marketing Officer works to support the marketing of the school and communication with prospective and current stakeholders to ensure that the School is meeting admission targets and seeking additional ways to contribute revenue to support and further develop the facilities at the school.
Line Management
The Marketing Officer will report to the Head of Marketing and Admissions.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. The implementation of the School's Marketing Strategy inclusive of social, website, and outreach
2. Social media content production
3. Brand development
4. Brand awareness events e.g. Open Morning, Open Doors, etc.
5. Recruitment campaigns, materials, and events
6. Newsletters and other PR materials
7. Building first-class relationships with local and national media organisations
8. Liaison with the School's advertising agencies, designers, and printers
9. Representing and promoting the School at exhibitions and presentations
10. Sourcing appropriate marketing and merchandising materials
11. Supporting admissions processes
12. Any other reasonable duties
13. Attendance at evening and some weekend events
14. Maintaining and updating the website

The ideal candidate will:
1. Have previous Marketing and Public Relations experience, ideally but not essentially within a school or charitable organisation
2. Have a warm and engaging manner and personality, with the ability to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds
3. Maintain high professional standards of presentation and demeanour
4. Be highly organised
5. Be able to forge effective working relationships with a wide range of staff and other stakeholders
6. Be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision

10. Enjoy working to a high standard in a demanding environment

14. Have a high level of skill in planning and executing social media campaigns and developing engaging content
