Job Purpose Riverside has a broad range of experience in successfully facilitating many different types of events, including conferences, exhibitions, training, support groups and networking sessions. Whilst we have a great reputation with our current clients, we are looking for someone who will help us to grow our conferencing business and expand our clientele through the promotion and marketing of our venue and services. We are seeking a well-rounded person who can manage a client’s entire journey; from initial connection, event booking and successful delivery, ensuring maximum client satisfaction. The successful candidate will help us scale our conferencing business to fully realise the financial potential of Riverside Conferencing. Main Responsibilities: Drive sales and bookings through increased corporate engagement. Identify clients, contacts and market segments and proactively seek new business. Manage and grow client accounts to maximise revenue. Liaise with clients and take bookings. Liaise with café team over catering requirements. Oversee the events and room booking calendar. Manage events budget, monitor pricing and profitability. Be a professional and welcoming onsite host for conferences delegates. Skill Set: E Essential / D Desirable Relevant degree / training. (D) 3 years of conferencing or events experience. (D) The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. (E) Full understanding of marketing and social media strategy. (E) Tech savvy – confident with MS Office and able to learn new packages & systems. (E) Keen eye for detail to ensure all aspects of an event are executed to a high standard. (E) Able to adapt to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges.
