Are you a recent Spanish graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or above and is passionate about pursuing a career in education? This School in Central Leeds, with a young and passionate headteacher, is looking for a graduate Spanish teaching assistant with the option to work as cover supervisor. Having obtained a ‘Good’ rating at ‘Ofsted’, this school is on the journey towards ‘Outstanding’ – you could be a key part of this journey as a Graduate Spanish Teaching Assistant. The Headteacher is looking for recent graduates to help inspire the next generation of Spanish speakers!
About the Graduate Spanish teaching assistant role:
As a Graduate Spanish Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Earn up to £520 per week
* Long-term, full-time graduate Spanish teaching assistant role
* Work closely with students, providing one-on-one and small-group academic support
* Potential to be developed into a Cover Supervisor, gaining experience in the classroom
* Assist in preparing lesson materials and resources
* Immediate start (January 2025)
* Salaried Teacher training opportunities from September 2025
* Help manage classroom activities, fostering a positive learning environment
* Contribute to raising student engagement and attainment in Spanish
* Sociable working hours between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday - Friday
About You:
We're looking for a Graduate Spanish teaching assistant who:
* Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in Spanish from a Top 30 university
* Has a strong academic background and a passion for Spanish
* Is eager to inspire and motivate students to excel in their studies
* Is committed, reliable, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Is contemplating teaching in the future
* Has a keen interest in Spanish language and culture
