Warehouse Supervisor
Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, the Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on role that focuses on overseeing the daily operations of the Warehouse floor. You will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring efficient inventory control, maintaining safety standards, and meeting performance targets. The Warehouse Supervisor works Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and 8am - 3pm on a Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Oversee the daily activities of Warehouse colleagues, ensuring they are working efficiently and in alignment with warehouse goals.
2. Assign specific tasks to members of the Warehouse team, such as picking, packing, inventory control, and shipping.
3. Train new employees and provide ongoing training to ensure the Warehouse team understands safety protocols, equipment usage, and warehouse procedures.
4. Assist with stock control by ensuring that inventory levels are accurate and items are properly recorded in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
5. Oversee or assist in regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure accurate inventory records.
6. Perform and supervise the order-picking process, ensuring that orders are picked accurately and efficiently based on customer specifications.
7. Perform and oversee the packing of items to ensure orders are packed securely and correctly for shipping.
8. Enforce safety regulations and protocols within the warehouse to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards.
9. Ensure the availability of all required tooling to meet project demands.
Skills and Experience Required
* Previous experience in supervising, motivating, and managing a team in a Warehouse environment.
* Although not essential, experience of working in an Engineering/Precision Components warehouse would be beneficial.
* You will possess excellent organisational skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to identify issues quickly and find solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
* A high level of attention to detail, with a strong desire to promote high standards across the team.
* Skilled in using a wide range of computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Teams.
* Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems and Barcoding technologies.
