This is a rare opportunity to lead a production department for one-off, customer-specific equipment. As Production/Operations Manager, you will manage all aspects of production, from personnel and equipment to budgets and schedules, ensuring the smooth delivery of highly specialized products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the production team, workshops, and resources to meet customer and company goals.
2. Plan and manage production schedules, maintaining strict adherence to budgets, timescales, and quality standards.
3. Collaborate with the engineering department during contract meetings to align production timelines.
4. Ensure workshop safety, maintenance, and equipment functionality.
5. Liaise with subcontractors and machining suppliers to optimize operations.
6. Provide support for Conform spares inquiries and orders.
7. Manage logistics by coordinating with the admin team to organize shipments, orders, and cost estimates.
8. Attend management meetings and deliver detailed progress reports.
What We're Looking For:
1. A solid engineering background and a minimum of 5 years' management experience.
2. Knowledge of health and safety protocols in workshop environments.
3. Proven experience in planning production schedules for large-scale projects.
4. Strong organizational and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
1. Experience in preparing equipment for international shipping.
2. Knowledge of machining and inspection procedures.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business tools.
4. Negotiation skills and experience with subcontractors.
