Job summary We are looking for enthusiastic CBT Therapists/Clinical or Counselling Psychologists to provide therapy to clients referred to the NHS Talking Therapies Barking & Dagenham team, a primary care service working within the framework of an IAPT service model. We are a dynamic and empowering team, and as such, the post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with Senior Practitioners, HI Intensity Therapists, Counsellors, PWPs, Employment Advisors and a range of other professionals in the team. The post holder will also be expected to operate autonomously, providing cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to clients presenting with complex anxiety disorders and depression, therefore, a good knowledge of disorder specific CBT interventions is essential. Alongside individual therapy, the post holder will be required to offer group treatment, conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments as part of their caseload. Working within the service's business hours (8am-8pm) and offering a minimum of one evening per week is a necessary requirement of this role, therefore, flexibility regarding working hours is important. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
