Job overview
The Podiatry Service in the North Staffordshire area is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated HCPC Registered Band 7 Advanced Diabetes Podiatrist to join our award-winning Podiatry Service.
As a valued and passionate member of our team you will provide assessment, treatment and management / wound care for high-risk patients with complex foot ulceration. Utilizing your excellent interpersonal and communication skills you will drive initiatives to improve and enhance outcomes for patients. You will be able to make a real impact within our service and provision of care by working either independently or within multidisciplinary teams in the community mainly with links to consultant-led outpatient clinics. There will also be involvement with health education and training events.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be expected to travel independently over a large geographical area in North Staffordshire area to work within in various settings including clinics and domiciliary. To support you and your work/life balance we offer flexible working opportunities, and we also offer hybrid working between home/visits/base whilst still delivering a robust service and high level of care.

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
* Degree level relevant professional qualification or equivalent.
* Registration with HCPC
* Relevant Post Graduate studies/qualification or equivalent clinical courses within area of clinical expertise.
* Up to date field work/pre-registration student training.
Desirable criteria
* Masters qualification in relevant area that will support the delivery of the service
* If not already obtained, a commitment to undertaking masters level modules.
* Further clinical study relevant to clinical practice such as management of long term conditions
* Attendance at relevant forums e.g Special Interest Groups
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
* Significant experience in the clinical specialism.
* Supporting service users, families and carers.
* Experience of negotiation and conflict management and in clinical situations.
* Experience of leading and / or participation in clinical audit or service evaluation
* Effective communication skills
* Experience of supervision and development of staff members
Desirable criteria
* Experience in a broad range of clinical practice areas in addition to a specialism Evidence of project work.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
