Page Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well established accountancy practice based in Bolton.
Established for over 50 years, the business has gone from strength to strength and now boasts a team of around 20 full-time accountants in addition to admin & payroll staff.
Job Description
Payroll specialist duties will include:
* Calculating and customising payslips.
* Processing starter & leaver information.
* Manual calculations of statutory payments including SSP, SMP etc.
* Completion of year end tax returns on behalf of clients.
* Dealing with clients PAYE accounts and RTI submissions.
* Input of payroll journals.
* Keeping up to date with legislation and rates for statutory payments.
* Assisting clients with queries around pay.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Payroll Specialist candidate will:
* Have a proven track record in a similar role (bureau / practice payroll).
* Be able to work to tight deadlines.
* CIPP qualification is desirable (not essential).
* Knowledge of Sage payroll would be beneficial (not essential).
* Be an excellent written and verbal communicator.
* Be proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
