Job Overview
We have 9 medical wards based on the William Harvey Hospital site. We currently have vacancies on our Healthcare for Older People (HCOOP) wards, Respiratory ward, and our general medical ward including secondment opportunities for our Respiratory Assessment Day Unit. We are keen to hear from registered nurses that are passionate, forward-thinking, and proactive. Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality clinical care to patients, in line with the Trust values and in accordance with professional regulations.
2. Accept delegated responsibility for specific activities/areas from senior Nurse in Charge.
3. Work autonomously and with others to always deliver high standards of care to patients and their carers.
4. Communicate in line with Trust values to patients, carers, and staff at all times.
5. Take every opportunity to continue to develop, practice, and expand their own general and specialist nursing skills.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Training:
* Recent clinical experience in an Acute Trust.
* Delivery of evidence-based practice.
* Demonstrates a patient-focused approach.
Clinical Skills and Experience:
* Patient-focused approach.
* Well-developed verbal & written communication skills.
* Ability to develop working relationships with others.
* Time management and personal organization skills.
* Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
Governance:
* NMC Code of Conduct.
* Clinical Governance.
* Risk Management.
* Understanding of current issues in nursing.
The ability to converse easily and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer-facing roles.
