We are a small special needs school for pupils with an Education Health Care plan for Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. The role is to support pupils with not only their academic progress but their emotional needs too.
Working at Holy Brook school can be very challenging but also extremely rewarding. The school is also going through a transition period with new leadership.
We are very interested in staff who have an understanding of trauma informed care or therapeutic thinking or have a strong desire to learn about this work and how we support our pupils to move on to the next stage of their education. You will need to be emotionally and at times physically resilient and having a good sense of humour will go a long way.
Job Purpose
Working alongside and under the direction of the class teacher you will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a safe, engaging and purposeful learning climate within the classroom.
You will support the planning and delivery of lessons and interventions which reflect the social, emotional and educational needs of all pupils.
