Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the production team, ensuring operational efficiency and achievement of KPIs.
* Oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation to meet customer demand.
* Drive on-time delivery (OTIF) performance, ensuring orders are completed on schedule and within budget.
* Implement 5S, Six Sigma, and KAIZEN methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
* Monitor and optimise productivity rates, quality control processes, and cost efficiencies.
* Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to streamline production processes.
* Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing production team, ensuring training and progression opportunities.
* Oversee facility maintenance and health & safety regulations.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a Manufacturing/Production Manager role within the aerospace sector.
* HNC/HND (or higher) in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering - an apprenticeship is a plus!
* Strong familiarity with aerospace standards.
* Lean manufacturing expertise, including 5S, Six Sigma, and KAIZEN methodologies.
* Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Materials Science.
