An exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join the Business Benefits Solutions team, supporting a number of the Benefits Leadership Team on a permanent basis, based in our Darlington office (hybrid working). The role The purpose of this role is to partner with a number of Directors and Heads of within the Benefits area, providing diary management and liaison with various stakeholders and other Executive Assistants across Railpen. The person The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of supporting senior roles and possess the ability to manage executive and administrative tasks such expense management, preparing meeting minutes, tracking action items, document management and project support with minimal supervision. You will manage conflicting priorities whilst maintaining composure, be confident in using your creative diary management and influencing skills to ensure the most effective and productive use of time and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in everything you do. You must be confident and able to brief leaders on the purpose of meetings and provide sufficient background material. This is a fast paced and challenging role and will require excellent organisational, relationship building and communication skills alongside self-awareness and the ability to always be one step ahead. Your focus will be to ensure leaders are best supported to allow them to deliver on their priorities, while upholding and championing Railpen’s values and purpose. The ability to write and contribute to board and committee papers and departmental communications is essential, as is the ability to correspond to a broad range of senior external stakeholders. You will be expected to develop a good understanding of Railpen and its stakeholders, and how the inter-dependencies between these play a key role in delivering Railpen’s purpose and long-term strategy. The successful candidate will be confident, decisive, demonstrate a willingness to question and challenge. You will be organised, proactive and assertive while remaining calm and approachable. You will need to be able to quickly get to grips with various complex business areas and able to use your emotional intelligence to get the best out of colleagues and stakeholders in any situation.
