Gi Group is looking for a Transport Administrator to join our team in Northampton. As a Transport Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of all transportation operations.
Shift pattern for Transport Administrators:
- Monday to Friday: 22:00 - 06:00
Pay rate for Transport Administrators:
- £12.50
As a Transport Administrator you are accountable for:
1. Proactively planning the daily transport schedule to ensure all customer requirements are met.
2. Completing daily checks to ensure that the daily transport schedule is adequately resourced.
3. Fully briefing drivers prior to dispatch to ensure they understand their route, the requirements of the route and are adequately trained on all systems and processes.
4. Ensuring that all routes are tracked via HHT (where appropriate) and the drivers are logged on and compliant.
5. Ensuring that every route is tracked via the tracking systems. Any exceptions or faults are reported to your manager.
6. Ensuring the accurate recording of all data entry including tachograph and route scheduling documents.
7. Fully debriefing every driver on their return to ensure compliance with the route, reporting any exceptions to your manager.
8. Ensuring that all PODs are returned, completed and accurate for every trip that requires them.
9. Ensuring that as part of the debrief process all driver's paperwork is completed, compliant and accurate, reporting exceptions to your manager.
10. Completing all daily reports in an accurate and timely manner as directed by the transport manager.
11. Ensuring that yard checks are completed as directed by the transport manager.
12. Accurate and timely reporting on driver's attendance, absence and performance.
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
1. High performer (regularly achieves KPI target)
2. Good working knowledge of transport and logistics
3. Reliable (high attendance and good timekeeping)
4. Assisting with general duties within the transport function.
5. Very trustworthy & honest
6. Good communicator
