Job Description Purpose of the role To verify the accuracy, reliability, and soundness of the bank's analytical models by independently validating and assuring the quality of models. Accountabilities Development and implementation of validation plans for new and existing models. Preparation of model documentation that clearly explains the model's methodology, assumptions, limitations, and risks. Development and implementation of ongoing monitoring frameworks to ensure continued model accuracy and effectiveness, ensuring appropriate controls and governance in place. Analysis and assessment of the model's accuracy, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Performing back testing and stress testing to assess model robustness under different conditions. Vice President Expectations Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment. Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda. Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does. The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge of data analytics in maintaining, enhancing and improving our transaction monitoring models and controls. This role will require ability to work on hands-on analytics work, technical coding and modelling, including Machine Learning models, GenAI, data extraction, statistical analysis, with good knowledge of Python, SQL as well as experience in designing dashboard like Tableau. They will play the key roles in presenting analysis, tuning and optimisation as well as solutions to various parties like the product owners, tech, ops, 1st line risk, MLRO, business oversight among other stakeholders. The candidate should understand the risk and control of the bank; particularly in the area of TM, AML and terrorist financing, with the ability to lead the initiatives and provide responsive solution for fixing issues as well as long term strategic delivery.
