Senior Utilities Engineer - Electrical
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £49,480- £65,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

AWE is currently recruiting for a Senior Utilities Engineer - Electrical to support a variety of projects, upgrades and support tasks across the AWE estate.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong understanding of Electrical distribution systems. As Senior Utilities Engineer, you will deliver professional engineering services to AWE projects.
The successful candidate will provide support to the Delivery Manager by working with the Electrical Distribution Network Manager and Operations team to:
Facilitate and support the delivery of projects to proactively manage risk across the network
Provide and facilitate Network SME support to other projects across site
Provide uninterrupted service to AWE's operational site in support of our core mission
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to demonstrate experience in the following:
Technical Apprenticeship or HNC/HND with suitable additional experience
Leading delivery of Utilities projects/works
Effective Stakeholder Management
Construction / CDM experience
Finance management understanding
Identifying and delivering to technical and regulatory requirements

We'd like you to have experience in or an understanding of some of the following:
Primary Electrical Bias with experience across multiple disciplines.
Experience in Utility / building service delivery over a large portfolio.
Project Management qualification i.e. APMF/Q / Prince 2
Formal Risk Management
You'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.

You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.
