Do you have prior experience working with children with special needs, including physical disabilities and personal care needs? A special school catering to 2-18 year olds in Slough is recruiting a teaching assistant to work on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30). This role requires flexibility when it comes to age groups you are happy to support as you may be required to move around classes. Competitive daily rate of pay offered.
It is essential that applicants meet all the requirements of the role. These are:
1. Prior experience supporting people (children or adults) with special needs, preferably in a UK setting.
2. Ability to commit to a long-term role.
3. Willingness to provide personal care and assist children of all ages with changing and toileting.
4. Excellent behaviour management strategies.
5. Flexibility/willingness to work across all age groups.
