IOCP is a nonprofit that provides services in food, case management, emergency financial assistance, employment services, and childcare resources to those residing in eight Western Hennepin County cities. We are looking for a Food Shelf Operations Leader to play a key role in providing overall food shelf management support with a focus on effectively managing inventory and the home delivery program.
The Food Shelf Operations Leader leads all aspects of our home delivery program and provides general food shelf management support throughout our inventory, distribution, and delivery shifts. They support and lead volunteers and serve as a valuable resource to teammates. This role is critical to creating a client-centered environment of belonging with an emphasis on dignity, accessibility, and agility. What You Will Do
1. Home delivery program leadership including guest enrollment, order management, and fulfillment
2. Food shelf inventory management
3. Collaboration with teammates and volunteers to support seamless flow in the food shelf including product receiving, sorting, stocking, distribution, and delivery
4. Ability to lead and participate in inventory, distribution, and delivery shifts
5. Cultivate a high-quality experience for our guests
6. Volunteer support and management
What You Will Bring
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. 3 years of experience providing exceptional customer services to diverse groups of people
3. Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of people and build trusting relationships
4. Strong technical skills with knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
5. Experience working with diverse communities and cultures
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with staff and volunteers; strong team player
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
8. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
9. Timely and reliable
10. Ability to work independently; be self-directed with strong execution and follow through
11. Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a timely manner
12. Flexible and adaptable, able to fill in as needed
13. Ability to lift and move heavy items, utilizing pallet jack, carts, and other warehouse equipment
14. Ability to drive 16’ box truck; valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
