Accounts Assistant
We are recruiting for a well-established, leading company in Bishop’s Stortford who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their established team on a permanent basis. The company is able to offer study support.
This role reports into the Finance Manager. You will be responsible for purchase ledger, dealing with suppliers, queries, and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier statement reconciliation
2. Payment runs
3. Processing purchase ledger invoices
4. Statement reconciliation
5. Posting expenses and bank transactions
6. Bank and balance sheet reconciliation
7. Petty cash receipts
8. Dealing with queries
9. Reporting
10. Supporting the accounts team with ad-hoc tasks
Key Requirements for the role:
1. Must have excellent attention to detail
2. Ability to prioritise workload efficiently and effectively
3. Must have experience working well under pressure
4. Good telephone manner for handling queries over the phone
5. Ability to work well within a team and individually
6. Having previous experience with an accountancy package is a plus
7. AAT studier or qualified by experience
