SEN Learning Support Assistant Required ASAP!
Teaching Personnel are the UK's leading education staffing supplier and we are currently sourcing Learning Support Assistant for a number of support staff opportunities in SEN Schools across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, UK. These roles can be started immediately, or after a suitable notice period.
We are currently recruiting individuals seeking their next opportunities and do not mind being on flexible contracts, with the opportunities to be taken on permanently if both parties are happy after 12-16 weeks.
As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you could:
1. Providing support to pupils in various learning contexts, including the classroom, local environment, and community, to aid their learning, development, and progress across the curriculum.
2. Empowering and supporting pupils with a range of needs, such as PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism, to achieve their educational and personal goals.
3. Promoting equality, diversity, and the rights of our pupils to be treated with respect and seen as learners.
4. Placing emphasis on support and empowerment for our pupils.
5. Promoting a greater understanding of Special Education issues and upholding the values of the school.
6. Providing high-quality support in all aspects of the role.
7. Participating in physical intervention and personal care routines, if required.
Would you be the right fit?
1. Previous experience in a school is advantageous.
2. Previous experience with SEN is advantageous (within any setting, both personal or professional).
3. Friendly, confident and calm attitude.
4. Previous experience working with children or young adults.
5. Adaptable to working with children with vulnerable backgrounds.
6. An individual with good knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
7. Be passionate about helping students to succeed academically, emotionally, and socially.
8. Have a calming presence and be able to engage well with the pupils (Year 1 to Year 11).
9. You will be dedicated to ensuring that all children achieve their very best.
10. Contribute to the values, ethos, and the development of the school.
