The Role:
* Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
* Hours: 6.5 hours per day, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
* Start Date: ASAP
* Duration: Potential to lead to a permanent role for the right candidate
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom environment and helping students thrive. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Providing tailored support to individual students or small groups, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere that nurtures learning and confidence.
* Supporting students’ social and emotional well-being, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
* Helping with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
* Assisting in the monitoring and assessment of student progress, helping to record their achievements and areas for improvement.
* Encouraging good behaviour and positive interactions in line with the school’s ethos and values.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in an educational setting
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (advantageous)
* Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable
* DBS on the update service or willingness to complete a new one
