This is a fantastic opportunity for development and would be the ideal role for candidates who are still in training or someone who is early in their career as an Underwriter. What the Role is all about: The key responsibility of the role will be to support the Senior Underwriter and Head of Underwriting through: To underwrite individual, group and corporate new business applications and renewals within underwriting guidelines and delegated authority limit Support the sales and relationship management team with client meetings and work collaboratively with these departments to meet growth and retention targets. Work closely with the actuarial and product department to support product development and pricing proposals. Supporting the underwriting review process through collating and analysis of claims information Prepare monthly department MI We are looking to hear from candidates who can evidence following minimum criteria: Have previous experience in an underwriting admin/assistant role Have previous knowledge of working with corporate groups Can start or are willing to work towards relevant CII qualifications We are especially interested in speaking to candidates who can evidence the following non-essential but advantageous criteria: Prior experience of working for an insurance intermediary / brokerage, MGA or insurer (or equivalent indemnity business) in a technical underwriter role. Medical Malpractice or other PI experience.
