About the Role The successful postholder will support the Knowledge Exchange Facilitator (KEF) and the project Knowledge Exchange for Slow Hope (KESH), based at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) for projects funded by Humanities in the European Research Area (HERA) under the theme of crisis. This will involve administrative duties related to organising in-person and online events, processing reimbursements and booking travel/accommodation/venues, keeping minutes etc. Further, the RIA will support meetings practically and develop relationships in Nottingham and elsewhere, so the post may involve travel within UK/Europe. The RIA will also conduct research and undertake writing, both scholarly and policy-related. The role will encompass all of the following, but the balance of duties and responsibilities will be determined in discussion with the post holder s line manager: Organise November 2025 HERA launch conference and 2027 capstone conference, as well as online events and workshops, ensuring an excellent level of quality for these events. Accompany KEF on selected visits with Crisis research teams in UK and abroad and to participate in online meetings, to develop knowledge of and strong relationships with the Crisis project teams, key partner organisations and funding bodies and to optimise collaborative approaches to training, working and future funding bids. Support development of training opportunities for Crisis teams in collaboration with the KEF, the NTU Knowledge Exchange team, and external providers. Work with various NTU units (Finance, Research Operations, International etc.) to provide administrative support Conduct independent research (using different methodologies), write, and collaborate with KEF on selected publications. Develop capacity and European networks in the arena of humanities and social sciences funding and knowledge exchange. Work with marketing, Knowledge Exchange colleagues, and podcaster to develop material for external consumption Develop and maintain KESH webpage and social media and be the first point of contact for enquiries N.B.
