Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and professional individual to join the Public Health Commissioning Team in the East of England. As Commissioning Support Officer, the post holder will work as a part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across East of England region to deliver the direct commissioning functions for Public Health Section 7A services for the Region. The post holder is a key member of the Public Health Commissioning team whose overarching purpose is to manage the administrative support needed to facilitate the wider and Public Health team to carry out its functions. In this way it will have a core responsibility for putting in place processes and procedures to promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge, and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives. Main duties of the job The post holder will: Provide high quality project, service, initiative, and administrative support including information and analysis. Undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery. Be responsible for the smooth and effective maintenance of the administrative function. Liaise with a wide range of people, partner organisations and agencies, both internally and externally. Be responsible for managing complex and sensitive business and communication on behalf of the Public Health Commissioning Team, solving problems, and responding to unexpected demands. Organise meetings / conferences or other events as requested involving internal colleagues and high-level stakeholders including the provision of admin and business support as necessary for a range of meeting types. Oversee the appropriate and effective management of business support requests from team members within the Public Health Commissioning Team. Manage the delivery of admin support provided by admin support officers working in Public Health Commissioning functions. This includes line management functions for any direct reports where appropriate.
