The Role:
As our Senior Credit Risk Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the evolution of the credit risk existing new business strategies for Credit Cards, Loans, and Vehicle Finance. Implementing industry best practices on credit risk and affordability assessments, credit line management, risk vs reward profitability modelling to capture market share, grow receivables, optimize profitability, and deliver good customer outcomes.
As a Senior Credit Risk Manager, you will:
* Deputise for the Head of Credit Risk Strategies and lead the wider strategy function on credit risk analysis, NPV modelling, and influence across Commercial, Finance, and the wider business.
* Drive the optimisation of lending decisions through test and learn initiatives to identify champion strategies for existing customers.
* Establish a credit risk framework - incorporating risk monitoring and feedback processes - to ensure appropriate decisioning for both customers and the business within the Group's risk appetite.
* Investigate and develop new data sources including open banking data for analysis and decisioning.
* Influence stakeholders across the Group to gain buy-in and support to deliver change as required.
* Support business growth and portfolio profitability while controlling credit quality and performance.
* Provide colleagues with opportunities to succeed through coaching, mentoring, and sharing expertise.
* Build an innovative culture within the department by exploring and implementing cutting-edge techniques to enhance decision-making.

* Industry expert in Credit Risk lending strategies.
* Leadership: Proficient in leading an analytical team, prioritising activities while providing strategic direction.
* Strong numerical capability: Experience in converting analytical information into a business narrative.
* Communication: Ability to articulate complex ideas to stakeholders.
* Problem solving: Finding innovative ways to address issues or risks identified.
* Up to date: With latest regulatory and macro-economic developments and trends.
* Customer outcomes: Focused understanding of how strategies can impact customers.
The interview process:
1. 30-minute call with Talent Acquisition.
