Are you a strategic communications and marketing professional looking to make a genuine impact? We're seeking an experienced consultant to join our dynamic team, playing a vital role in our pod-based delivery system.
The role
As a communications and marketing consultant, you'll lead integrated campaigns while supporting strategy development and managing key stakeholder relationships. Working within a client-focused structure, you'll deliver high-quality client work with autonomy while collaborating with the client 'pod' lead, account manager, senior consultants, associates and creatives.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop and execute integrated communications and marketing strategies across multiple channels
* Create compelling content, including press releases, messaging frameworks, and campaign materials
* Conduct audience analyses, competitive landscape reviews, and performance evaluations
* Support strategic development through research, insights, and creative campaign concepts
* Manage media relations, including journalist outreach and coverage tracking
* Collaborate effectively within our pod structure to ensure successful project outcomes
Essential requirements:
* Minimum 6 years' experience in communications, marketing, PR or related field
* Defence and security experience
* Proven track record delivering integrated campaigns that drive measurable results
* Strong writing skills across multiple formats and channels
* Experience in brand positioning and messaging development
* Digital marketing knowledge, including social media and content strategy
* Excellent client-facing skills and stakeholder management abilities
* Degree in defence and security (e.g., war studies, international relations), STEM subjects, english, communications, or related field
Desirable experience:
* Agency environment
* Project management
* Professional qualification in marketing, communications, or PR
* Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms
