Base pay range
Salary Range: £40,000-£50,000 per annum, plus benefits/bonus
Our client, an innovative organisation in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a Commercial Manager to initially oversee the delivery of Renewable Energy assets throughout the UK. This business is delivering some of the UK's most exciting Battery Storage and Pumped Hydro Energy projects. With the company in the early stages of significant planned growth, this is an excellent opportunity to join as a Assistant Quantity Surveyor in a growing commercial team. The initial support required will be on UK wide Battery Storage projects with a peak output of 290MW and the potential to power 650,000 average UK homes at any moment in time.
This hybrid role involves working both from home and the London office with occasional travel to sites in construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Project Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor in their assigned responsibilities.
* Provide detailed financial and surveying-related data as required by senior management.
* Assist in preparing cost estimates, cost planning reports, and other financial evaluations.
* Contribute to the preparation and management of various contract types.
* Aid in the integration and administration of contracts within CEMAR.
* Prepare and manage applications for payments.
* Ensure accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to align with budget requirements.
* Proactively track and manage cost variances and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct applications.
* Support the enhancement of internal cost database practices.
* Collaborate with contractors, clients, and team members to foster effective communication and a cohesive work environment.

* Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Requirements/Qualifications
• A bachelor’s (or working towards) degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Working towards professional membership.
