Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This office-based position involves leading a team responsible for managing day-to-day property-related issues. The successful candidate will oversee property matters reported by tenants and external support workers in a fast-paced environment, ensuring effective and timely resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team in the efficient handling of day-to-day property management tasks, including tenant queries and maintenance issues.
2. Respond promptly and effectively to reactive property management issues.
3. Oversee the management of tenant relationships, ensuring clear and professional communication with tenants, support workers, utilities, and landlords.
4. Foster a collaborative environment, promoting Tenant Involvement in shaping the delivery of our services.
5. Manage the selection, development, and performance of team members, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
1. Proven experience in housing management, particularly in tenant relations and property management.
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
3. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
4. A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving, with the ability to manage competing demands.
5. Experience in managing or coordinating Tenant Involvement initiatives.
6. Knowledge of housing regulations and best practices in property management.
7. Previous experience working within the social housing sector is advantageous.
