Position:
We are looking for a Nursing Assistant to work under the direction of the college nursing team to provide safe, evidence-based clinical interventions and training.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out delegated nursing interventions in line with clinical care plans, such as suction, catheter care, and PEG care.
* Undertake practice competency assessments covering a range of different clinical interventions including but not limited to Gastrostomy, Oxygen, Tracheostomy care, Cough Assist, Non-invasive Ventilation, and Oral suction (full training will be given).
* Carry out Care Staff observations in practice to ensure staff remain confident and competent when undertaking delegated nursing activities.
* Deliver theoretical clinical training to care staff 1-1 and in small groups.
This role requires flexible working
Salary: £13.24 per hour/£27,539.20 per annum
Hours per week: 40
Weeks per Year: 52
Holiday weeks: 5 weeks plus 10 days bank holiday

Requirements:
NVQ 2/Diploma in Health and Social Care or a willingness to complete within the first year of employment with a minimum of 2 years care experience.
Willingness to assist students with any personal care requirements as needed.
Willingness to support students in a way that promotes their independence and development.
To fully support our students you must be able to take a lead role in moving and handling needs and the use of hoisting equipment.
