The Water Consultancy Division is Mott MacDonald’s centre of excellence for responding to water and wastewater challenges, offering fantastic opportunities to get involved in diverse and technically challenging work.
Job Description
After recent framework successes, we have a range of roles available for experienced electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (EICA) engineers for our multidisciplinary Water Division. We cover all phases of the project lifecycle from feasibility studies through detailed design, construction support, and commissioning to handover.
Providing leadership and mentoring to other electrical engineers, you will be responsible for checking and reviewing design documents and providing technical direction to projects.
Using your experience and expertise you will ensure that designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards.
You will lead the integration of the electrical & ICA design with that of other disciplines.
You will work in close partnership with clients and contractors, building strong relationships that will enhance the company’s reputation and help secure further work.
Candidate Specifications
* Knowledgeable about a wide range of EICA tasks, typically including specifying local renewable and back-up generation systems.
* Qualified to HND level or higher in electrical, electronic or control engineering or a related discipline.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Experience of successfully delivering high quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
* Experience of working in the water and/or wastewater industry.
