Based in the Herefordshire village of Much Marcle, Westons Cider is an independent cider-making company, making premium award-winning ciders since 1880.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Procurement Team for a Purchasing Assistant on a permanent basis.
Reporting in to the Procurement Officer, the successful candidate will support the business in procurement of goods and materials. Activities include, but are not limited to:
* Raising Purchase Orders
* Requesting New Supplier Information & Accreditations
* Obtaining quotes
* Keeping in house system prices and details up to date and accurate
* Monitoring delivery times
* Assisting with Supplier Reviews
* Working with Transport & Stock Control to arrange collection of goods
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also need to be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft applications. Additionally, they will need the ability to work in a team and on their own initiative. The successful candidate will also have a high attention to detail along with the ability to work to tight deadlines and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
Previous purchasing administration experience, or previous experience within an FMCG environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
