This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop their skills and contribute to innovative projects within the electrical engineering sector. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components. Produce technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD. Ensure all designs comply with BS 7671 standards and relevant IET guidance, particularly concerning electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Conduct site visits and assessments to support project requirements. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements. Qualifications and Skills: Education: BSc in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Professional Membership: Member of a professional body such as the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or the Institution of Engineers of Ireland (IEI). Chartership: Working towards or willing to pursue Chartered Engineer status. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of BS 7671 and associated IET guidance for EV charging installations. Proficiency in AutoCAD for producing technical drawings. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. Desirable Attributes: Familiarity with the latest edition of the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation. Knowledge of renewable energy systems and sustainable design practices. Previous internship or project experience in electrical design or related fields.
