Inherited Bleeding Disorders (IBD) Service and Inherited Metabolic Diseases (IMD) Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Network Manager to lead our Inherited Bleeding Disorders and Inherited Metabolic Diseases services. The networks have been commissioned by the NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee (JCC) to ensure equity of care for people with inherited bleeding disorders and inherited metabolic diseases across Wales. We are seeking to appoint a manager who is ambitious, creative and focused, and who takes a proactive approach to service development. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams will be essential.
They will also ensure effective clinic management and facilitate new ways of working in the network through a variety of IT solutions.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will require excellent leadership skills that will enable development of the service across the networks. The post holder will need experience of organisational governance and a proven track record of operational success. In return, they will be a core part of a proactive and dynamic team who are driven to achieve the very best for patients.
The successful candidate must possess excellent organisational, problem solving and communication skills. They must be capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines and have the ability to confidently engage with colleagues across NHS Wales. The post holder will be required to work autonomously to drive forward their own programme of work and use innovation to overcome challenges. The successful candidate will be required to travel to other centres across the region.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent experience.
* Management NVQ level 4 or equivalent.
* Supervisory Management NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
* ECDL
Experience
* Significant experience as a coordinator of a clinical service.
* Working to SOPs.
* Previous managerial experience.
* Making oral presentations.
* Previous NHS experience.
* Experience of root cause analysis.
* Auditing experience.
Skills
* Able to organise, prioritise and coordinate workload of self and team across Wales.
* Able to use own initiative to solve problems and meet deadlines.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
Special Knowledge
* Awareness of inherited disorders.
* Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
* Principles of people management.
Personal Qualities
* Good self motivator.
* Flexible approach to work and able to adapt to non-routine situations.
