Arboricultural Tree Service Supervisor - Oxford - £45,000 DOE + Progression + Benefits
The Company:

Join our prestigious client as a Tree Service Supervisor and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our urban forests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coordinate the inspection of trees across various locations to ensure that work is completed according to plan.
2. Ensure tree details and condition records are accurately maintained and updated in their computerized systems.
3. Work closely with the Tree Surveyor to recommend, specify, and prioritise arboricultural works.
4. Ensure all sub-contractor work adheres to legal standards and Tree Policies.
5. Provide expert advice on technical queries related to arboriculture and respond to health and safety concerns, issuing urgent work requests when necessary.
6. Formulate responses to complaints, insurance claims, and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigations, as required.
The Candidate:
1. Strong knowledge of arboriculture, with a proven ability to assess tree conditions and recommend appropriate actions.
2. Experience managing contracts and ensuring that sub-contracted work is carried out to a high standard.
3. Excellent communication skills with the ability to respond to technical queries, complaints, and legal investigations.
4. Competent in using computerized record-keeping systems.
5. Ability to prioritise work, especially in urgent or health and safety-related situations.
6. Previous experience in arboriculture or environmental management.
7. Familiarity with tendering processes and contract management.
8. Knowledge of health and safety standards related to tree management.
The Package:
1. Competitive salary circa £40,000-£45,000 basic.
