The Role We are looking for a full-time Professional Development Phase Academy Doctor to join our multidisciplinary team, and be responsible for providing assessment and treatment of injuries and illness primarily to the U17-U21 age groups at Sohba Realty Training Centre. Your day-to-day Provide full-time medical cover for our Academy - you'll utilise your expertise at Sobha Realty Training Centre for the U17-U21 age groups under the guidance of our Lead Academy Physiotherapist and Lead Academy Doctor in the Academy and you'll cover Academy matches home and away as team Doctor Undertake medical health screenings - you will carry out thorough medical health screenings of U17-U21 players and assist with First Team players, as well as U9-U16 Academy players at Hale End to deliver all aspects of player welfare and education Uphold our high standards - you'll diligently ensure accurate recording of medical notes on our club's electronic medical records system and you will develop and implement medical best practice policies and procedures relating to the medical care of our Academy players Collaborate with the wider team - you will take an active role in CPD activities within our Medical department and you'll play a key role as part of a multidisciplinary team Prioritise player development - you will provide medical input and insights into player profiles and progress reports, ensuring a holistic view of the athlete's development, including injury history and illness Champion our values - you'll passionately role model our club values and behaviours and contribute to the overall success of the Academy Medical and Performance department Maintain a safe and inclusive environment - you will proactively follow and enforce our club's policies on safeguarding, child protection, health and safety and equality, diversity and inclusion Act as a trusted ambassador for club - you will ensure the confidentiality of all sensitive club-related information, including medical records and internal discussions, in line with our policies and legal requirements What we are looking for Credible expertise - you're a proud medical practitioner of good standing on the General Medical Council (GMC) register with evidence of successful on-going appraisal and revalidation under the GMC Qualified in Sports Medicine - you hold an MSc / Diploma in Sports Medicine and a valid Level 5 FA ATMMiF pitch side trauma qualification Experience in elite sport - you've got a track record of working within elite senior and adolescent sport Best-in-class clinical reasoning skills - you're well versed in dealing with common adolescent sporting injuries as well as having good general practice experience Evidence of CPD - you're able to show evidence of on-going CPD in the major speciality of your work portfolio Knowledge of anti-doping laws - you've got a good understanding of the FA Anti-Doping and World Anti-Doping Agency regulations Excellent communication skills - you embody humility, discipline and respect and you're able to build impactful relationships with a range of colleagues, and you thrive when you're collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a team environment Forward-thinking approach - you take a proactive and flexible approach to achieving successful outcomes and you demonstrate a growth mindset and are comfortable receiving feedback Why choose us At Arsenal, we want everyone to feel a sense of trust and belonging, so we are proud of both our club values and also what we offer to our employees.
