This volunteer role is within the Spring House Service in the IPS Team (Individual Placement and Support). The Individual Placement and Support model is a well-evidenced employment service supporting people to find paid employment. The purpose of this role is to support the team with incoming and existing referrals, contacting clients, arrange initial appointments, track update and record client necessary data and collect feedback. This is a great voluntary role for anyone who is interested in learning and gaining experience working with in Drug and Alcohol recovery service in their community. As a member of the IPS Team you will be offered a full training package and any additional training needed. You will be offered monthly supervisions, support and have access to a wide variety of extra training packages to support your development and knowledge within the recovery service. 1.1 To support the IPS Team by contacting and following up on new and existing referrals with service users. 1.2 To offer administrative support to the IPS Team. 1.3 To record notes and feedback from conversations/interactions with service users to be passed to the relevant Employment Specialist. 1.4 To work within a strengths-based approach to ensure that clients’ wellbeing is supported. 1.5 To assist in organising and facilitating workshops or group activities aimed at enhancing employability skills. 1.6 To maintain and update service user records and databases accurately and confidentially. 1.7 To provide support in preparing and distributing informational materials to service users. 1.8 To participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of service strategies and plans. 1.9 To accompany service users to appointments or job interviews when necessary. 17/1/2025 Kieran Newell | kieran.newellcgl.org.uk | 07867379543 Please note that we require you to be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this volunteering role.
